Jump Start Box

We have heard this story several times so we wanted to share some insight to you on how to save some big bucks.

I have had troubles with batteries in the past so I wanted to get me a backup solution. I went out and bought a Jumpstart Box. You know for when the battery fails I can connect it up and jump start my vehicle. So the last time I bought a battery I decided today is the day. I went out and picked up one right then and put it in the trunk for safe keeping. Now when the battery died 2 years later the box didn’t work and now I have to buy a new one…

Well this is a fairly common story. There are a few things that can be done. The first is to make sure the battery jump box has been charged. It has a gel battery in it and over time it will discharge. They typically will come with an adaptor to plug into the wall. If you do that once a month to make sure it is charged up it will be ready when you need it. They will usually come with a testing procedure as well. This way you know if it will work even if it is charged. Now if it ends up failing the test don’t worry. You can just replace the battery inside the box.
